Cannonau

Panevino

Panevino or 'Bread and Wine" was named so after Gian Franco Manca's years as a bakery owner, which he took over from his uncle. Along with the bakery, Gian Franco inherited some very old vines that boasted over 30 varieties and which incredibly had all survived despite decades of being forgotten. The major variety was Cannonau. He started about bringing the vines back to life, along with planting some new vines of Monica and Carignano del Sulcis in the 80's, but only started vinifying the grapes for commercial purposes in 2005 in order to iron out any creases.
