Domaine des Fées
Frederic Mefrre's family have been grape growers for three generations, cultivating the land and selling their fruit onto local coop until Frederic decided to take a stab at winemaking. After a period in Chile, Frederic began to make a small amount of wine in a corner of his dad's barn using borrowed equipment from friends in Seguret. Domaine de Fée's - or 'Fairy Domain', so called because of the proximity to Fountaine de Fées was born. The vines are found in Sablet and Seguret and Villedieu. The Sablet vines are higher than most in the area and slope East, resulting in grapes that are later than most to ripen and be harvested. adding depth to the finished wines.
